The Competition is divided into Junior Category (Form 1 to Form 3 students) and Senior Category (Form 4 to Form 6 students). It aims to arouse secondary school students’ awareness of financial infrastructure, fintech and electronic payments in Hong Kong, and encourage them to express their innovative, creative and interesting ideas through the popular WhatsApp Stickers nowadays. “FPS ‧ Payments Made Easy” - WhatsApp Stickers Design Competition (the “Competition”) is jointly organised by the HKMA and the Hong Kong Association of Banks. The launch of the FPS has promoted innovation in financial technology, and provided greater convenience and new experience of electronic payment to the public.
It enables the public to make instant cross-bank/e-wallet funds transfers anytime, anywhere with the use of mobile number or email address of the payee.
The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) launched the Faster Payment System (FPS) on 17 September 2018.
