I went to the intel website ( ) and noticed that their network driver is actually a few versions newer than the one on the MSI website. I restart anyway to see if that works, no ethernet connection and the driver software says the network driver is not installed. I let the disk try to install the driver, I receive **no** error messages, it says my install is completed and I can restart my computer, however the disk software itself says its not installed.

The disk software pulls up all the drivers I need including the same network "lan" driver that I had just tried to install, I double check the MSI website and the version numbers are the same. Please install the Intel Ethernet driver package and try again."Īt this point I get frustrated and pull out an old optical drive to use the disk that came with the mobo. Process gets started, seems like I'm about to get my lan driver installed until I get hit with an error message "Intel Ethernet drivers were not detected.

I dig around in the folder but ultimately cannot find anything that is clearly labeled as the lan or network driver that I am looking for so I run the "autorun" application.
